This Champagne-method sparkling wine made from white pressed Spätburgunder (aka Pinot Noir) grapes is the joint project of the wineries Aldinger and Wöhrwag from the Stuttgart area. Founded in 1492, Aldinger winery is steeped in history. In the sure hands of brothers Hansjörg and Matthias Aldinger, they have been propelled into the stratosphere of quality and acclaim. Their urban winery lies within spitting distance of the Mercedes Benz headquarters Primary fermentation in stainless steel with two years of lees aging. Medium bodied, pleasantly complex non-vintage Pinot Brut. Smoky, with nice yeast note, brioche, breadcrumbs. Hint of pear, spiciness of dried apricots. Elegant and harmonious, with nice acidity. Fine perlage and medium finish. Very good value for money!
