2020 Mr. Brightside Gamay Noir

Mr. Brightside was established by Tim Fulnecky in 2020 and is owned and operated by Tim Fulnecky on the Central Coast of California. The winery was founded with a singular focus-crafting great wines made from Gamay Noir. Since 2016, we have produced 15 different wines made exclusively from Gamay Noir. Every vintage offers us different challenges and opportunities to craft unique wines and try new things.

100% from Portico Hills vineyard in Los Alamos, Certified Sustainable, 624 cases total production. 

Minimal intervention winemaking with all wines. This wine was cold-soaked for 5 days before spontaneously fermenting in two separate lots. The first lot was 50% whole cluster fermentation in open-top bins for 19 days before pressing. The second lot was 100% whole cluster fermentation in open-top bins for 22 days before pressing. The wine was settled in stainless steel for 2 days before gravity racking to neutral French 225L barrels. Sulfured minimally after malolactic fermentation and adjusted slightly pre-bottling.
