2020 Limerick Lane Zinfandel
Russian River Valley, California
Limerick Lane is a 30-acre estate located in the north east corner of Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley. Sonoma County’s Russian River Appellation, while known predominantly for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, is also home to some of the oldest Zinfandel vines in the state. Originally planted by Italian immigrants as far back as the late 1800’s, Zinfandel is, without a doubt, the wine that the Russian River Valley’s reputation was built upon. While seamless and with unparalleled clarity of flavor and aromas, there is also an undeniable gravity and timelessness that Russian River Zinfandel seems to exude. The wine has a broad, chewy, and fresh mouthfeel with flavors and aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, strawberry and a hint of graphite.
