2020 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir 'Gap's Crown'
Sonoma Coast, California
Gap’s Crown Vineyard is considered by many to be one of the best representations of what the Petaluma Gap AVA, the southern component of Sonoma Coast, is all about. Sweeping vineyards with dramatic elevation changes and clonal variety define this celebrated site. Each year, this wine appeals to Burgundy fanatics and California Pinot lovers alike. Made from four clones and fermented in an array of stainless steel, concrete, and wood vessels, this vintage sees 15 months in 48% new French oak. It is as exuberant as it is irresistible, revealing layers of sun-kissed blackberry, cedar, and spices. Bursting with fresh-picked blueberries, blackberries, baking spices, and lifted vanilla aromatics. Soft and silky, its dark fruit flavors flow across the palate, underscored by velvety tannins, finishing with a wealth of energy, drive, and power. 13.5% alcohol.
