2020 Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon
100% hand harvested, sustainably farmed Cabernet Sauvignon from young(11 years old) estate vineyards in Mendoza at 3000’ elevation. Fermented in stainless steel but aged in oak barrels for eight months before bottling.
Aromas and flaavors of ripe red fruits, blueberries and cassis, well accompanied with pepper notes, vanilla and dark chocolate. Smooth tannins and acidity make a balanced wine with a long finish.
About Black Cabra
The Black Cabra (goat) is a common sight in the Argentine Andes where the winery and vineyards are located. One cabra in particular became friends with one of the winery workers. Every day this Black Cabra would follow along to the winery and look through the winery window as they worked. They named their value wines in that goat’s honor.
The wines, like the Black Cabra (goat), come from the Argentine Andes. These wines are produced from the estate vineyards and crafted in the state-of-the-art winery, Bodega Zolo, by winemaker Fabian Valenzuela and vineyard manager Carlos Correas. The President and Owner is Patricia Ortiz. The wines are 100% sustainably farmed and everything is estate grown.
