
2020 Annesanti Rosato 'Nasciolo'

Francesco Annesanti says that his soul is in his wine. Francesco’s cantina is in a rural part of Umbria where there are no other vines for miles in any direction. He farms no official appellation, simply making “Umbrian” wine. He farms organically and biodynamically and makes his wine totally naturally and all by himself. Francesco has produced a dry rosato, uniquely from Barbera, that is reminiscent in color (light pink) and taste to that found in the Provence area of southern France, but with a bit of Italian herbal notes. It has a floral profume with a fruity but dry red berry taste and is a delicate, easy drinking wine A perfect aperitif for all seasons but also accompanies white meat and fish dishes. Refreshing.
