2019 Chateau Calabre Montravel Blanc
We don’t know how he does it, but Daniel Hecquet makes some amazing wine and their prices are crazy! For his Calabre white, Daniel blends 3 varietals commonly used to make white Bordeaux: Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle, not surprising given that the winery is located in Montravel, which sits just above Bordeaux’s northeastern border. His deft touch results in a truly refreshing white wine long on complexity. Give this a try with a salad with chevre.
