2018 Chateau Tour Chantecaille Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
This estate is located in Saint Emilion in the locality of “Chantecaille” hence its name. It lies on a superb terroir on the borders of Pomerol, near Château L’Evangile and Château Gazin and is a neighbour of Château La Dominique and Château Croque Michotte. It is also 400 meters from Petrus. The estate has been owned by the family of Mrs Angle since 1879. This plummy red is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and is aged in new oak barrels for 12 months. This Grand Cru is full bodied, ripe and elegant, complex with oodles of ripe fruit intertwined with nice toasty notes and ripe well-integrated slightly woody tannins aromatic finish with good mature fruit and hints of cocoa.
