2018 Annesanti “Suppriscola" Barbera
This micro production winery only recently became available in the United States for the first time! Francesco Annesanti is a passionate and artistic man who makes pure natural wines- practicing organic farming, using only native yeasts, stainless steel for fermentation and aging, minimal sulfur and no fining or filtration. 100% Barbera (no relation to the well known Barbera varietal from Piedmont). Very unique and small production artisanal wine! Fresh, juicy, and loaded with dark red and black fruit- cherry, plum and blackberry; layered with dried red flowers and herbs. Pleasantly rustic and pure.
