2017 Méo-Camuzet Pommard
Jean-Nicolas Méo is generally regarded as one of the very best producers of red Burgundy. His wines have a unique style. They have a sensual velvet structure, complexity, richness, depth and an enchanting perfume. Pommard is one of those legendary appellations of the Côte d’Or (Côte de Beaune). The Méo-Camuzet Pommard has in the glass the wine the typical Pinor noir color: fresh, transparency, ruby red. In the nose, the Pommard has a rather lush bouquet with lively morello cherries mixed with crushed strawberry scents, more blue fruit appears with time in the glass. The taste is medium-bodied with supple tannin, brisk acidity and red cherries in the smooth aftertaste. A good glass that will develop even further with time.
