2017 Côtière Chardonnay
Santa Barbara County, California
The 2017 Santa Barbara Chardonnay is a selected blend. 70% from the Murmur Vineyard planted in sandy loam, which is located in the coolest corner of Santa Maria Valley. And 30% La Rinconada Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, situated on an extinct bend of the Santa Ynez River near Lompoc. Côtière's block is planted mostly on alluvium and ancient river deposits.
91 points, Wine Enthusiast. "Lemon brioche, butter cream, toast and a judicious amount of oak show on the nose of this county blend by Kevin Law. There is a toasty quality to the sip, where light oak, roasted nectarine and lime-peel flavors slide into a hazelnut finish."
