2016 Torre Albéniz Reserva Ribera del Duero
Ribera del Duero, Spain
95% Tinto Fino, 3% Garnacha and 2% Tempranillo Blanco from biodynamically-farmed vines with an average age of 100 years. 25 months of elevage in French barriques. It's sleek and polished with integrated oak, combining power and elegance.
92 points, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. "The very classical 2016 Torre Albéniz Reserva is generously oaked, ripe without excess and with the freshness from 2016. It was produced with organic and biodynamic Tempranillo from their older vineyards, with 5% of other grapes (including whites). It has 15% alcohol and was in barrel for 25 months without racking. It should develop nicely in bottle. 41,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in December 2018."
