This micro production winery only recently became available in the United States for the first time! Francesco Annesanti is a passionate and artistic man who makes pure natural wines- practicing organic farming, using only native yeasts, stainless steel for fermentation and aging, minimal sulfur and no fining or filtration. Harvested by hand, according to the phases of the moon! 100% Sangiovese, macerated for 100 days on the skins after fermentation to add complexity and texture. Very unique and different from your usual Chianti Sangiovese. Extremely small production. Notes of cherry, plum, leather, balsamic and dried herbs.
