Seeking a slower pace of life, Marc Ollivier, who was then an engineer, took over his father’s vineyards and produced his first vintage in 1985. Virtually self-taught as a winemaker, Ollivier farms organically and takes a minimalist approach in the winery. Marc’s success is a combination of good fortune and an open-minded, experimental approach to making the best possible wines. This Muscadet is from the new appellation of Monnieres-St. Fiacre. The palate is round and ripe with pretty white fruits, citrus, stone and herbal flavors, and the finish is round and supple with white fruits and minerals. This is a gorgeous Muscadet to drink over the next ten years with everything from oysters to sole, cod and monkfish, even with lobster.

94 points, John Gilman. "The 2015 Monnières-Saint Fiacre from Domaine de la Pépière is a beautiful wine, soaring from the glass in a vibrant aromatic blend of lemon, bread fruit, gentle leesiness, wet stone minerality, just a touch of ocean breeze and a topnote of dried flowers. On the palate the wine is pure, focused, full-bodied and perfectly balanced, with a lovely core, superb mineral drive, bright acids and a long, complex and zesty finish. This is the first vintage I can recall tasting from Domaine de la Pépière from this outstanding vineyard site and it is outstanding. Simply superb Muscadet! (Drink between 2018-2040)."
