2014 Recaredo Cava Brut Nature Gran Reserva ‘Terrers’
Cava Recaredo started in the ‘20s and hasn’t changed much since: dry farmed vineyards in Alt Penedes with no synthetic chemicals ever. Wild fermentation. All bottles are hand riddled and hand disgorged without freezing the bottle’s neck. Only single vintage Cavas and only Brut Nature, no dosage on anything they make. This is their “basic” bottling made from 56% Xarel-lo, 42% Macabeu and 2% Parellada, aged on the lees for 4 (!!) years. Mouthwatering minerality with citrus blossoms and orchard fruit. One of the best deals in bubbles.
